It was a day that I like to remember. Mary and I were out with children and grandchildren picking blueberries in the  sun. There was teasing and chasing and laughter. There were spills and tumbles and a few tears. There were hugs and smiles and medicinal kisses. There were bags and baskets of blueberries to carry home.

Blueberry pancakes and pies along with blueberry toppings for cereal and ice cream were sure to follow. It was a very good day.

Mary was picking blueberries when she lifted her head and looked my way. I could see face under the big brimmed hat that protected her skin from the sun. Sunglasses hid her eyes but her gentle smile and a streak of sunlight across her face imprinted an image in my mind and in the camera. That’s the image by which I recall our very good day.

The image will not mean the same to you, of course, but  I would love to build it in balloons at full scale (about 33′ tall) to show off just how big it is in my mind.

A MISSION TO FULFILL

Nearly every one of your customers has a similar wish. They have some idea, some one or some event that they want to blow up to full scale, that is the full scale of their imaginations. They want to show off how important it is to them or how important they want it to be to those around them.

As balloon artists and suppliers you are in the privileged position to help your customers accomplish their mission. You can help them stretch their imaginations and articulate their vision of importance for their ideas, persons, occasions.

At Rouse Technologies, we are in the privileged position to help you help them through our original tools and techniques (our technologies). Here are five of the many technologies that comprise Rouse Creative Suites™.

Our wish is, our mission is, for these technologies to help you help your customers accomplish their mission. Therein there will be more very good days for all of us to remember.

RE-A-L™

(RE-A-L™) Rouse Expand-And-Load patented technology is the basis for the Rouse Matrix™ brand of balloon frames.

These frames are exceptionally light, compact, flexible, versatile, and low cost. They come in more sizes, shapes and grid patterns than any other professional system; plus, they include configurations to hold  more balloon sizes, shapes and types.

The basic concept is quite simple: “Expand the frame & load the balloons”.

Beyond the basics, Rouse Matrix balloon frames offer additional, exclusive, proprietary technologies.  These Rouse original techniques make many forms of balloon decorating SIMPLE”, “EASY”, “STRONG”, “FAST”.

The Rouse patented, “SIMPLE” way of filling out your design is to tie round balloons in pairs and then roll them into adjacent openings in the Rouse frame.

This cuts the number of balloons needed in half and greatly simplifies the planning and installation tasks compared to traditional nested garland (precision wall) techniques for building balloon graphics like “Mary Queen” above.

  • You tie only once to seal two balloons.
  • You reach into your supply of prepared balloons only once for two balloons.
  • When you load one balloon, the next balloon is right there and ready to load as well.
  • Your display  requires half the number of balloons of more traditional nested garland techniques,
  • yet you may set it up for viewing from both sides if you like.

Learn more about how to use this Rouse original system to simplify your balloon decorating. Use it for  portraits like this one of Mary Queen or for other memory filled displays MadeWithBalloons™. Read this article:. Get Started with RMS™ Single Layer .

The article focuses on popular RMS™ honeycomb grids, but the same principles apply to RMS™ square grids.

You get a bonus when you purchase official Rouse Matrix™ balloon frames. There is no need for special permission or separate written license to use this proprietary technique. The license to use this technique with RMS™ is automatically granted as a part of the Rouse Matrix™ purchase.

"EASY" illustration / logo / icon for RE-A-L™ Balloon Art EASY

The Rouse patented, “EASY” way of filling out your design is to tie the neck of two, double-ended balloons (like Quick Link Balloons™ or Link-O-Loons™) together. Then tie the opposite ends together. Then push one of the pair through an appropriate opening in a balloon grid. Repeat this process until you have filled out your design.

This technique is so easy that we have had children as young as 8 years and a spunky neighbor of 94 produce great results with it.

STRONG

The Rouse patented, “STRONG” way of filling out your design is to tie round balloons neck to neck in pairs. Then, insert one balloon of the pair into the first balloon frame. Repeat until you whole design is filled out. Then, overlay a second and matching balloon frame. Pull each of the second balloons up and into matching openings of the second balloon frame on top.

This method is popular, because it is “forgiving” of small mistakes in centering the balloons and because it makes a display about 20 times as strong (stiff) as a comparable single layer version. It is plenty strong and light enough to suspend from above and still hold its shape.

It also gives more volume to the display and provides a space between layers of balloons that is perfect for hiding reinforcing rods or poles if you prefer to stand it on the floor.

The Rouse patented, “FAST” way of filling out your design is to tie strings of double-ended balloons together. Load the balloons of each string into a row of adjacent openings in the balloon frame.

With a little practice, you will likely double or quadruple your loading speed. With even more practice you might approach our current world record of 52 balloons in 45 seconds. Yes, 45 seconds. That is a rate of over 4,000 balloons loaded per hour!
